The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in the town. It was away from the main town, which meant that it was peaceful and quiet. The service provided by the staff was exceptional. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room amenities were top-notch, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The heating kept us warm during the chilly nights, and the tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch. We also enjoyed the sitting area and the garden furniture outside.
We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

During our stay at Smithy Lodge Guest House, we received a lovely welcome from Derek, who went above and beyond in helping us find a place for dinner and even drew a map to ensure we could easily get back to the M6 the next morning. His assistance was truly exceptional and greatly appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and provided us with the perfect start to the day, especially since we knew we wouldn't be getting home until late. The location was also ideal for our needs as we were visiting family in the area. I highly recommend this place and would definitely choose to stay here again if I find myself in the area.
